I should be more specific: do a swatch and wash it well. When I knit the mister's sweater I didn't wash my swatch so when the finished project got a bath it grew about 2 sizes.
With needles in hand, Ariannah shares her lifelong love of knitting with the world...
About Me
Name: Ariannah Armstrong
Location: Timberlea, Nova Scotia, Canada
Happily married to a terrific husband. We have 5 children. We homeschool and have enjoy the freedom and many educational and life choices homeschooling has to offer us as a family.
I was born in 1967, and have been knitting since I was approximately 6 years old.
This year, it seems that to say "I am addicted to knitting" is a cliche. Given its current popularity, everyone seems to be "addicted" to it. So it seems in the midst of knitting as a popular craze, there are no words to really describe the emotional attachment that I have to knitting, and how I uniquely feel about it.
I started my current habit of carrying around my knitting wherever I went when I was a kid. Back then it wasn't so cool to do so, and I received the flak for it. Now, I am much older and don't care which activities earn me flak, and voila, knitting is cool!

Thank you for the extra info! Where'd you find it? Is it a thrift store fine?

Dat's a *BIG* cone of yarn! All I can think of is how few ends you will have to weave in later! =o)

I'm with Nicole - think of the lack of yarn ends!
Not exactly portable knitting :) - you could get a backpack or a wagon, though....

I knit the mister's sweater with that yarn. Make sure to do a swatch before you knit, that stuff fluffs up like you wouldn't believe.

Now that's one BIG ball of yarn! What are you going to knit with it?
